Trident pod - assesses neuromuscular blockade by monitoring thumb acceleration during electrical stimulation of a peripheral nerve. The Trident pod operates in the following modes for neuromuscular transmission (NMT): single twitch, train-of-four or post-tetanic count. Uses two-lead stimulation electrodes and includes a thermistor for keeping an eye on patient temperature during the measurement. A reference twitch is established before the neuromuscular blocking agents are administered and subsequent measurements are compared to the reference. Offers a direct plug-in connection for the Infinity EEG pod, saving a pod communication port on the monitor. Trident is a smart pod(tm) which easily interfaces to Infinity modular monitors. All NMT parameters are trended and transmitted over the Infinity network. Requires Trident NMT cable, 2 lead stimulus electrode grabbers and hand sensor for patient measurements. Includes a 3m pod connection cable and universal pole mount.
