Features
The iTClamp by Innovative Trauma Care is the latest advancement in emergency hemorrhage control. Designed to be an intuitive solution via self-aid or provider care this clamp is a combat-ready, self-locking hemostatic device that will rapidly stop bleeding and can be applied in seconds.
Essentially painless, the iTClamp seals the wound and creates pressure in the wound cavity, allowing a stable clot to form and stop further bleeding. Unlike a tourniquet, the iTClamp does not occlude the injured blood vessel but maintains continued blood flow past the wound.
Using the iTClamp requires minimal training.
FDA-cleared to treat extremity, axillary or inguinal bleeding
CoTCCC recommended as a primary hemorrhage control device for external hemorrhage of the head and neck
The only non-tourniquet hemostatic device intended for care under fire
One-handed application
Simple to adjust placement as required
Clamp mechanism does not occlude distal perfusion, unlike tourniquets
Light, portable and accessible
Application effectiveness:
Applied in 10 seconds or less
Greater than 90% first-try application success
Versatile in treating many compressible treatment sites
Minimal pain: Rated a 1 on a pain scale from 0 to 10
No distal neurovascular impairment
Minimizes scene times:
Easy application during casualty evacuation (i.e. ambulance or helicopter)
Eliminates 3 minutes of manual pressure after wound packing
Perfect adjunct for packing hemostatic gauze and can be applied over most clothing
Can be applied without packing the wound
Controls hemorrhage in an unstable and/or coagulopathic patient
Creates force multiplier effect:
Can be applied during initial assessments in mass casualty triage
Frees up medic’s hands to attend to other casualties
