AliMed® Sit-Straight Release Pommel Cushion has a pommel that conveniently drops out of the way to make transfers. The pommel of this pressure-relieving cushion attaches securely with a hook and loop strap. While in place, the pommel assists with hip abduction and provides a gentle reminder of the agitated individual who fidgets out of position on other cushions. For unhindered transfers, simply pull on the hook and loop strap to drop the pommel (it stays attached to the strap so it won't get lost) so the patient can scoot forward on the seat. This feature helps increase the patient's functional independence from sitting to standing. The Solid Seat Insert (SSI) model now has a concave bottom that fills the space of the sagging sling seat to create a stable, flat sitting surface. Dark gray, no-slip nylon incontinence cover.
