Intended Use: AC-T™ 5diff Cal Calibrator is intended for the determination of calibration factors for COULTER AC-T 5diff Series hematology analyzers in conjunction with AC-T 5diff reagent system only. Refer to Operator's Manual or On-line Help System. Summary and Principle: COULTER AC-T 5diff Series hematology analyzers require a calibrator to convert electronic measurements of each sample into accurate results expressed in clinical terms. The parameters (WBC, RBC, Hgb, Hct, and Plt) are calibrated using AC-T 5diff Cal Calibrator, a stabilized blood preparation. AC-T 5diff Cal Calibrator is an acceptable alternative to whole-blood calibration. The calibration procedure uses replicate measurements of AC-T 5diff Cal Calibrator. MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, MPV and the DIFF parameters do not require calibration.
