Used for percutaneous access for interventional radiology procedures. Needle advancement utilizing the blunt obturator permits an atraumatic approach to the target structure. A blunt tip obturator allows for the deflection off vascular structures. A pencil point stylet may be exchanged with the blunt obturator for final puncture into the target structure. The 18 gage cannula permits the introduction of a .038 inch diameter wire guide. The needle cannula also has an EchoTip® to facilitate use with ultrasound guidance. Supplied sterile in peel-open packages. Intended for one-time use.
