The reusable monofilaments are used to measure diminishing and returning sensation. Neuropathy can develop at any time and, if not tested for, can go unnoticed until other injuries or ulcers appear.

  The monofilaments come in a wide variety of individual sizes to choose from. In addition, the monofilaments are available in sets that include: Set of 20 Monofilaments, Set of 5 Hand Monofilaments (one each - 2.83, 3.61, 4.31, 4.56 and 6.65), and Set of 6 Foot Monofilaments (one each - 2.83, 3.61, 4.31, 4.56, 5.07 and 6.65). The 20 nylon monofilaments measure equal lengths and have been found through repeated testing to be an extremely accurate method of measuring cutaneous sensibility.
